How much does a session cost?

Prices for clinic, Bowen therapy and mobile appointments are on the price list.

Do you offer mobile appointments?

Yes. See the price list for mobile appointment prices, and call Joan on 0418 659 155 to talk about a visit.

Choosing a treatment

Which treatment should I choose?

It depends on what you’re looking for. Relaxation massage is a good choice for unwinding, and remedial or deep tissue massage suits focused work on tight areas. Bowen therapy and craniosacral therapy are gentler, light-touch options. Read about each on the treatments page, or ask Joan when you call.

Can I have a massage without oils?

Yes. Eastern massage is performed fully clothed, without oils or lotions. It combines traditional hands-on techniques with gentle, assisted stretching. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy movement.

Is pregnancy massage available?

Yes. Joan offers pregnancy massage and has completed specialist training in it. You lie on your side or sit, supported by pillows. Let Joan know how far along you are when you book, and she’ll talk with you about whether it suits you.

What to expect

What happens at my first appointment?

Joan will start with a short chat about what you’d like from the session and anything about your health she should know. Please let her know if you have a medical condition or an injury, or you’re pregnant.

Do I need to undress?

It depends on the treatment. Eastern massage and craniosacral therapy are performed fully clothed. For other treatments, ask Joan what to expect when you book, and let her know what you’re comfortable with.

Is massage a replacement for medical care?

No. Massage and bodywork are complementary therapies. They don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, so please see your doctor about any health concerns.
